Sun Moon Lake Black Tea is known for its powerful yet sweet flavor, grown in the Sun Moon Lake region—one of the best tea-growing areas in Taiwan thanks to its high temperature and humidity. The tea variety used is Red Jade (TTES No.18), famous for its refreshing cinnamon fragrance and subtle minty finish.
From May through July, we tasted more than 30 batches across a dozen selection trips. After months of searching and careful evaluation, we selected the very best batch for this year’s harvest.
