Dongfang Meiren Tea is a heavily oxidized oolong tea. The young buds are fed on by Jacobiasca formosana, a type of leafhopper, which causes the leaves to develop a distinctive natural sweetness. After deep fermentation, the tea produces a unique ripe fruit aroma, reminiscent of light honey.

• The leaves are nibbled by Jacobiasca formosana and undergo natural oxidation, releasing a special fragrance.

• No pesticides are used for 60 days before harvest to attract the leafhoppers and promote their activity.

• Only young buds harvested within 10 days are handpicked and processed.
